This cottage has been restored personally, to ensure care is taken with every detail to create the perfect luxury country holiday for all our guests.  

Run until your hearts content down the valley and across the fields of green grass and grazing cattle or take a minute to sit and soak up the fresh country air, The Old Dairy has something to suit everyone. Ideal for families to holiday, reunite with faraway relatives or have a stay away with friends.

Under the old oak beams of the Old Dairy, sink into the comfort of the cushioned sofas in front of the wood burner’s soft glow as the underfloor heating warms you through the oak flooring. Flick on the flat screen TV and DVD player to watch your favorite soap or connect to the free WiFi to stay in contact with work or stream a film. The open plan ground floor provides the perfect space for entertaining and getter together with friends and family.

Every bedroom in the Old Dairy is furnished with deep mattresses and cosy cotton sheets to ensure a comfortable nights sleep.

It combines elements of traditional comfort with contemporary design. Old oak beams are present throughout the holiday cottage
and it is furnished to an extremely high standard with beautiful furnishings.

Cooking and Dining

The open plan kitchen living ground floor is a great space for family and friends to get together over an evening meal. Have a natter with everyone whilst you cook in the Old Dairy’s well equipped kitchen
with oak cabinets, granite worktops, Belfast sink, double range oven,
dishwasher, fridge freezer and all the other essential kitchen items.

Gather round the extendable dining table for up to 6/8 for a wonderful evenings meal, perfect for accommodating friends and
family who are staying in the other accommodations to join in the fun. Let the little one join sit in with a pre arranged high chair - suitable from 6 months old.

The utility room provides a washing machine and plenty of space to house those muddy boots and coats after a long days walk.

Garden and Grounds

At the front of the Old Dairy is a lovely mown garden where the kids can burn off some steam playing garden games. Crack open a beer or pop open the bubbly on a hot summers day whilst the steaks sizzle on the BBQ at the patio with hardwood table and seating.

The Old Dairy’s lovely outdoor area is a perfect place to spend time with loved ones out in the fresh air of the English countryside.

Private car parking is also available at the front of the cottage for guest.

Surrounding area

If it’s pub grub you’re after, try the local Bull’s Head in Foolow. Stroll down the lane with your dog and enjoy a pint or two of good local ales by the fire then ask the friendly landlord for a lift home after a night of fun. Or venture further to one of the many villages pubs nearby, such as the Barrel at Bretton or the Flagstone. 

The surrounding area of Brosterfield offers a fantastic variety of restaurants, cafes and bakeries to suit any taste. For traditional Italian head to El Lupo's in Baslow or French at Piedaniels. Catch a coffee break at Riley’s in Bakewell or have a night in with a takeaway from The Curry Cottage. For a night of celebration or just in the mood for beautiful food, dinning at the Michelin-starred Fischer’s at Baslow Hall is the ideal place to spend the evening.  

A short drive away are the most amazing Peak District attractions. Chatsworth House (10 mins), historic spa town of Buxton (20 minutes), Bakewell (5 minutes), Haddon Hall (10 minutes), and much, much more.
